About Restylane® Lyft and Restylane Silk
Restylane® Lyft is made of hyaluronic acid, the same viscous substance that lubricates our joints! Both products are FDA approved for the treatment of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. This material is not obtained from donors; rather, it is synthesized in pure form in the lab. Because it is a thick substance that occurs naturally in the human body, it is more comfortable, lasts longer, and feels more natural than other injectable fillers such as collagen. Restylane is the most used cosmetic dermal filler, and has been used in more than 1.4 million treatments in the U.S.

What is a Restylane® Treatment Like?
To better understand your overall health, we will carefully evaluate your medical history prior to treatment. In addition, a complete examination of your face is made in order to decide the most effective injection sites. All issues and concerns will be addressed. The areas that will be treated may be marked and photographs may be taken in order to follow the improvement after the procedure. To avoid bruising and bleeding, drugs, vitamins and herbs that thin your blood or prevent platelets from clotting should be avoided.
These injections are performed very comfortably in the office under local anesthesia. At most, only a very slight sting may be felt when injections are made. Injection procedures usually take only 10-20 minutes. Because this is a substance that is also naturally-occurring in the body, results are not permanent. Initial results typically last 6-12 months; however, with repeated injections on regular intervals, the results can become progressive.
How Long Do Restylane® Results Last?
Restylane® is a long-lasting wrinkle filler, but it is not permanent. In many patients, the results from one treatment last about six months. In some, a second treatment can last as long as a year.
What Will I Experience While Recovering From Restylane®?
You can return to work and other normal activities immediately after your Restylane® appointment. You may experience some minor bruising, redness, itching, and swelling at the injection sites, however, which usually resolve within a few days. Any discoloration can be covered with makeup.
You can see some results of Restylane® immediately, and these results will continue to improve as your body produces more collagen.
